The bitter orange petitgraincontains a good percentage of linalool (active ingredient) and is used for all clientele including children. Linalool is a recognized calming agent and an anxiolytic. It inhibits the binding of glutamate in the cerebral cortex: it inhibits the release of acetylcholine and reduces the opening time of ion channels at the neuromuscular junction.
