Tea Tree Essential Oil

$13.33

Melaleuca alternifolia

The Melaleuca(the tea tree or tea tree) is a shrub or small tree with a white trunk, evergreen leaves, and fruit in the form of capsules. This tree is common in the swampy regions of the northeastern coasts of Australia (New South Wales).

This essential oil is obtained by distillation of fresh leaves.

The Bundjalung, an Australian Aboriginal people, have used the very diverse properties of this plant for millennia to treat wounds and skin infections. In the 1920s, this oil began to be used in surgery and dentistry to prevent or combat infections of the skin and mucous membranes.

Recent scientific research has shown that tea tree essential oil is a powerful anti-infective and antiviral that strengthens the immune defenses.

It is a sovereign oil for relieving and disinfecting:

  • Insect bites
  • Sunburns
  • The injuries

La Melaleuca is recognized for its effectiveness in relieving topical problems of various skin and mucous membrane conditions (acne, athlete's foot, vaginitis, for example)

She is traditionally used in the topical treatment of skin wounds and burns.
